The Nashville Predators signed forward Josh Langfeld to a one-year deal Tuesday. Langfeld, 30, spent last season with Detroit where he played in 33 games with the Red Wings and 38 with its AHL affiliate, Grand Rapids. He scored 32 points for Grand Rapids. He has 32 points (9 goals, 23 assists) in 141 career NHL games and has played five seasons with Ottawa, San Jose, Boston and Detroit.

Center Jeremy Roenick signed a one-year contract with the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, postponing retirement for another shot at a Stanley Cup. The nine-time All-Star’s career seemed over after he scored only 28 points in 70 games with the Phoenix Coyotes last season. The 37-year-old center has 495 goals and 675 assists in an 18-year career also spent with Chicago, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
