Now Victory took command at the start and won the $150,000 Bay Meadows Breeders’ Cup Handicap at Bay Meadows Racecourse Saturday. A 31-1 longshot, the 6-year-old gelding established a clear lead down the backstretch and held off Jack’s Wild to win the Grade 3 turf race by two lengths. Macduff also closed from far back to finish another length behind in third.
