Although his team’s power play had generated only one goal in 22 chances coming into Saturday’s game in St. Louis, Minnesota Wild center Eric Belanger felt the unit was on the right track. “I know our power play was moving the puck well,” Belanger said. “It was just a matter of time before we scored.” The Wild scored twice with the man advantage Saturday night and that was the difference.
