The Florida Panthers agreed to a six-year contract extension with center Stephen Weiss on Thursday. Weiss, 24, recorded 20 goals and 28 assists this past season. The Toronto native has played in 249 games for Florida and scored 48 goals with 73 assists in his career. The team did not release the terms of the deal.
