The Detroit Red Wings started fast and didn’t let up. Henrik Zetterberg scored and has a point in all 11 games this season, and Andreas Lilja and Kirk Maltby also scored in Detroit’s fourth straight victory.
Red Wings goalie Dominik Hasek will be out indefinitely with a sore hip, meaning Chris Osgood will start Friday against San Jose. Hasek, 42, made 13 saves in Detroit’s 3-2 win over Vancouver on Wednesday. He is 4-2-1 this season with a 2.68 goals-against average. The Red Wings called up Jimmy Howard from their Grand Rapids AHL affiliate to back up Osgood.
