Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Niclas Wallin was expected to be sidelined about a month because of a right shoulder injury that will require surgery. The team said Friday that Wallin will have the operation Saturday. Wallin returned to action Wednesday night at Florida after missing two games with a groin injury.
