The New York Islanders needed nearly every second to beat the road-weary New Jersey Devils, who didn’t even have Martin Brodeur in net. Bill Guerin knocked a loose puck past backup Kevin Weekes for a power-play tally with 3.7 seconds left on the overtime clock Saturday night, giving the Islanders a 4-3 victory after they squandered a two-goal lead in the third period.
