Kiko Alonso will remain in New Orleans on restructured deal

Linebacker Kiko Alonso will remain in New Orleans, agreeing to a restructured deal, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports. Alonso, 29, was scheduled to make $8.7 million for next season. He will get a chance to earn back the money through playing-time incentives, Amie Just of The Times-Picayune reports.

The Seahawks signed former Minnesota kicker Blair Walsh on Thursday, the strongest sign yet that Seattle may be moving on from Steven Hauschka. Hauschka will be a free agent when the new league year begins next month and after a season of inconsistency the Seahawks are looking at other options. Walsh spent five seasons with the Vikings before being released midway through last season, but is mostly known for a crucial miss.
