Falcons’ Petrino: Hall to be disciplined

Atlanta Falcons coach Bobby Petrino said Monday there will be “significant discipline” for cornerback DeAngelo Hall, whose meltdown played a crucial role in the loss to Carolina. Despite shutting down receiver Steve Smith through most of the Panthers’ 27-20 win Sunday, Hall lost his cool and drew three penalties for 67 yards on Carolina’s game-tying drive in the third quarter.

Patriots restricted free agent cornerback Malcolm Butler has scheduled a visit with the Saints at the team’s headquarters on Thursday. New Orleans coach Sean Payton confirmed the visit Tuesday, telling Sports Betting News he holds Butler in high regard and is eager to meet with him. If the Saints sign the 27-year-old Butler to an offer, New England has the option to match it.
