Bills CB McGee expected back vs. Jets

Bills cornerback Terrence McGee worked out fully for a second straight practice Thursday and is expected to play Sunday, when Buffalo hosts the New York Jets. McGee missed last week’s 38-7 loss at New England because of sore ribs, and his return is the first positive news for a banged-up defense that’s lost numerous players to injury, including three starters on season-ending injured reserve.

The Oakland Raiders are going with rookie Connor Cook at quarterback in their wild-card game against the Texans. Oakland coach Jack Del Rio announced the decision in a conference call with reporters in Houston on Wednesday. Cook gets the nod with Pro Bowler Derek Carr out with a broken leg and backup Matt McGloin nursing a shoulder injury that could make it tough for him to practice enough before Saturday’s game at Houston.
