The Phoenix Coyotes signed goalie Alex Auld to a one-year contract on Monday. Auld, 26, went 7-13-5 with a 3.34 goals-against average last season with Florida. Auld played for Canada in the 2006 World Hockey Championship and won a bronze medal with Canada at the 2001 World Junior Championship.
