Mashnee Girl suffered an injury in the first race Sunday at Belmont Park and was euthanized, becoming the second fatality in 24 hours at the track since the Belmont Stakes.

Saturday at Belmont Park, Arcangelo held off late closing favorite Forte to win the Belmont Stakes by 1 1/2 lengths with Tapit Trice third.
