NFL mock draft: Patriots swing blockbuster trade for top QB prospect

With two picks in each of the first two rounds of the 2018 NFL draft, the New England Patriots could be setting themselves up for a gigantic move up the board to land an eventual successor for Tom Brady. But how far are they willing to go to get the right guy? Pretty far, if the latest 2018 NFL mock draft from CBS Sports is any indication. This projection has the Pats parting with both of their first-round picks in this year’s draft, in addition to next year’s first-rounder, to move all the way up to the Cleveland Browns’ spot at No. 4 overall. Their target? USC’s Sam Darnold Darnold isn’t as polished as UCLA’s Josh Rosen or as dynamic as Louisville’s Lamar Jackson, but he’s got all the upside
