Romain Grosjean believes the Haas Formula 1 team has no room for mistakes in 2019 after it “changed league” and moved to the top of the midfield last year. Having finished eighth in its first two F1 seasons, Haas made a jump in the pecking order in 2018 – finishing fifth in the constructors’ standings after a season-long battle for fourth with Renault. Team principal Gunther Steiner acknowledged that after Haas lost out to Renault – which finished 29 points ahead despite Haas often appearing to have the quicker car – because of errors related to inexperience.
