NBA Finals: Durant, Warriors prove Charles Barkley, other TV analysts wrong

Going into Wednesday night’s Game 3 of the NBA Finals, the Warriors had a 2-0 lead and plenty of momentum. But most of the TV talking heads who get paid to analyze such things believed an energized home crowd and the power of LeBron James would lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a victory that would inject more intrigue to the series. But then Kevin Durant delivered what ABC play-by-play man Mike Breen called “a masterpiece,� and the Warriors are now on the brink of a series sweep. Before the game, on NBA TV, Charles Barkley, whose prognostication skills aren’t exactly razor sharp, predicted a big night for Cleveland. “This is a pride game for the Cavaliers,� he said. “LeBron is too great of a player.
