California coach Cuonzo Martin resigned Wednesday amid reports he is headed to Missouri, telling athletic director Mike Williams he would be accepting another job. Cal announced Martin’s resignation Wednesday, a day after the short-handed Golden Bears’ season ended in the first round of the NIT with a loss to Cal State Bakersfield. Martin completed his third year as head coach in Berkeley.

While speaking on 95.7 The Game, Thompson said that while Klay loves Golden State, contract negotiations are likely to continue. “Klay definitely wants to play his whole career in Golden State and the Bay Area — there’s no question about that,” Mychal said.
