Under Fisher’s guidance, the Aztecs evolved from perennial afterthoughts into one of the West Coast’s best programs, making six straight NCAA tournaments from 2010-2015 including a pair of Sweet 16 appearances in 2011 and 2014.
Leading up to No. 6 Kansas’ game against No. 7 Duke, Bill Self preached selfless basketball to his team. And despite being absent from the sidelines Tuesday night, the coach’s message was received in a 69-64 Jayhawks win.
