Zion Williamson Working Out, Will Be Re-Evaluated In The Middle Of Next Week

Zion Williamson is participating in on-court workouts and will be re-evaluated next week ahead of a potential return, according to Chris Haynes of TNT.

“As of right now, the plan is to be re-evaluated at some point in the middle of next week. And at that juncture, the Pelicans will only have about two games left on the schedule,” said Haynes.

Haynes added that it is not a given that Williamson will be cleared at that time.

Williamson has been out since early January with a hamstring strain.

“During the process of trying to return, he did suffer a setback which is prolonging his return,” said Haynes.

Daryl Morey was not surprised James Harden has attempted to make things personal in seeking a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers, a source told Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Sixers informed Harden’s agent of their decision to pull him from the trade market over the weekend.

When Harden picked up his $35.6 million player option for 23-24, he told the Sixers he wanted a trade and preferred it be to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Sixers and Clippers have been unable to gain traction on a trade.

Harden’s initial displeasure with Morey came when the Sixers declined to negotiate with him before the official start of free agency, sources tell Pompey.
