Wizards re-sign G Mason to 1-year deal

Washington Wizards guard Roger Mason re-signed with the team on Monday, agreeing to a one-year deal. The 6-foot-5 Mason averaged 2.7 points in 62 games as a reserve last season. “My heart is in D.C.,” Mason said. “I feel like I can have a great role with the Wizards and that we have a chance to be a great team this year.” He signed with the Wizards as a free agent before last season.

Cleveland also holds the tiebreaker with the Celtics for the top seed, if needed.
