Wizards Plan To Keep Kyle Kuzma Past Deadline, Hope To Re-Sign Him In Free Agency

The Washington Wizards have signaled to other teams they intend to keep Kyle Kuzma past the trade deadline and hope to re-sign him in free agency.

Kuzma can become a free agent if he declines his player option for 23-24.

Kuzma signed a three-year, $40 million extension with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020 before he was traded to the Wizards in 2021 as part of the Russell Westbrook deal.
