Williamson retires, now college asst.

Scramento Kings forward Corliss Williamson waves in a hallway at the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame after announcing his retirement from the NBA to become Arkansas Baptist College's assistant basketball coach during a news conference in North Little Rock, Ark., Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007.

Corliss Williamson considers himself lucky. From Nolan Richardson to Larry Brown, he’s played for some accomplished coaches. Now he’s ready to try his own hand at the profession. “I want to be able to give back to the game,” Williamson said. Williamson announced his retirement Wednesday after 12 seasons in the NBA — and was introduced as an assistant coach at Arkansas Baptist College.
