Malcolm Brogdon said he was happy and felt valued by the Portland Trail Blazers amid trade rumors.

“I’m happy here. I’m valued here. Valued in this leadership/lead-guard role. And I can’t complain with that. I’m happy in Portland,” Brogdon told Jason Quick of The Athletic.

Brogdon has been linked with several teams, including the Knicks.

Brogdon, whose contract runs through next season, added that he hasn’t talked to the team about any trades.

“We haven’t really talked about that. Of course, I’m sure they are looking at their options, but for me, it’s all about using every opportunity to play good basketball and help this team win,” said Brogdon.

Cam Johnson Not Worried About Trade RumorsCam Johnson Not Worried About Trade Rumors

Brooklyn Nets forward Cam Johnson didn’t flinch when asked about being in constant trade rumors. Johnson said that’s not something he’s worried about with the season about to begin.

“I’ve been able to feel comfortable in what’s going on,” Johnson said. “And even with the uncertainty, it’s not like an uncertainty where I don’t think that our staff here, our front office here, has a lack of trust in me. So I feel confident in this group. I feel confident going forward. And I’m going to compete for this team. And it’s not even on my mind, really.

“I mean, there’s tons and tons and tons of basketball to be played here.”

With Mikal Bridges having been traded to the New York Knicks this offseason, the Nets are counting on Johnson to step up this season.

“He’s been amazing,” new Brooklyn head coach Jordi Fernandez said about his veteran wing. “I can’t say enough great things about him.”
