The Phoenix Suns have agreed to hire Jordan Ott as head coach. Ott was one of two finalists for the job alongside Johnnie Bryant, who is also an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Ott has been an NBA assistant coach since 2012.
Ott met on Tuesday with Mat Ishbia, Josh Bartelstein and Brian Gregory. Devin Booker was involved in the search process during the final stages and considered Ott to be his first choice.
Ott has worked under Mike Budenholzer, Kenny Atkinson and Darvin Ham.
