The Phoenix Suns have informed all interested teams they are not trading Kevin Durant. Several more teams inquired with the Suns after they held talks with the Golden State Warriors. Durant was “blindsided” by his inclusion in trade talks leading to the deadline.
“There will be a full evaluation of this team if they’re not able to turn it around by the offseason,” said Shams Charania on NBA Today’s Trade Deadline Special.
The Suns were hoping to acquire Jimmy Butler at the deadline, but no deal involving Bradley Beal materialized. When that reality set in, the Suns entertained a Durant trade with the Warriors and are facing difficult potential decisions during the 2025 offseason.
