Kevin Durant Doesn’t Want Trade Back To WarriorsKevin Durant Doesn’t Want Trade Back To Warriors

Kevin Durant does not want to be traded back to the Golden State Warriors almost six years after he left the franchise. The Warriors had discussed a trade with the Phoenix Suns involving Durant over the past few days.

“The Warriors have been seriously pursuing Kevin Durant over the last week, but sources tell me Durant has no desire in a reunion with the Warriors,” said Shams Charania on NBA Today on Wednesday. “He does not want to go back to the Warriors.”

The Suns had hoped to acquire Jimmy Butler in a trade involving Bradley Beal that would allow him to become teammates with Durant. But with the Suns entertaining a Durant trade, a possible resolution could be sending him to the Heat for Butler.

“If I had to guess right now, I would say he either stays in Phoenix or he’s a Miami Heat by tomorrow afternoon,” added Brian Windhorst.

When Durant requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets in 2022, the Suns and Heat were on his preferred list of teams. Durant is signed through the 25-26 season.
