Chris Grant has removed his name from consideration on a job in the front office with the Atlanta Hawks, reports ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. The Hawks were on the market for an experienced executive to join a relatively young front office led by Landry Fields. Grant previously worked for the Hawks and was general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Grant was in “serious talks” to join the Hawks as a senior adviser, according to a report last week from Shams Charania of The Athletic.

“Recently, they were interested in hiring Chris Grant away from the San Antonio Spurs,” said Windhrost on his podcast. “From what I’m told even though they were interesting in bringing him in, Chris has actually pulled his name from consideration. He’s going to stay with the Spurs. He’s happy in San Antonio.”
