Pacers Begin Trade Talks On Buddy Hield

The Indiana Pacers have begun a dialogue with Buddy Hield on a potential trade after the two sides were unable to agree to terms on an extension.

Hield is open to a trade elsewhere, but no deal is imminent.

The Pacers made an extension offer to Hield, but it is believed the proposal didn’t make him feel desired.

Hield is on a $19.2 million expiring contract.

Carmelo Anthony hasn’t heard anything from the New York Knicks that makes him believe he’s being traded. A day before the NBA’s trade deadline, Anthony said Wednesday that he expects to remain with the Knicks, since they’ve given him no indication they’re looking to deal their All-Star forward. Anthony has a rare no-trade clause and would have to agree to any deal, so he would expect to be kept in the loop if any serious proposals were being discussed.
