Nets sign veteran G Darrell Armstrong

The New Jersey Nets signed veteran guard Darrell Armstrong on Friday. Armstrong, who was the third oldest player in the NBA at 39 last season, was cut by Indiana earlier this week. He averaged 5.6 points and 2.4 assists in 81 games with the Pacers. “He is a proven NBA veteran who has the potential to add depth to our backcourt,” Nets president Rod Thorn said.
