Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James will miss at least one-to-two weeks due to a strained groin. James was injured in Saturday night’s loss at the Boston Celtics. Midway through the fourth quarter, James went down and was ruled out for the remainder of the game shortly thereafter.
James said postgame that he wasn’t overly concerned about the injury. He said it didn’t feel as severe as the groin strain he suffered in 2018, which cost him several weeks of action.
James has averaged 25.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 8.5 assists per game. James and Luka Doncic had been meshing well, as the Lakers had won eight straight games before losing on Saturday.
After playing at the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, Los Angeles plays three sets of back-to-back games over an eight-day period. The Lakers entered Sunday a half-game behind the Denver Nuggets for the second seed in the Western Conference.
