LeBron James’ group touts sports venues as mega-voting sites

If basketball icon LeBron James gets his way, NBA arenas and other sports venues around the country will be mega polling sites for the November general election. James and his voting rights group, formed this spring with other black athletes and entertainers, are joining with other professional basketball leaders and Michigan’s top elections official to push for mega voting sites to accommodate in-person balloting amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Kevin Durant Unlikely To Be Traded Before DeadlineKevin Durant Unlikely To Be Traded Before Deadline

After the Brooklyn Nets traded Kyrie Irving, speculation immediately turned to Kevin Durant’s future with the team. The main question: Would Durant reissue the trade request he made over the summer?

Because that’s an avalanche of stuff happening in a very short amount of time that all of the league needs to prepare for if it becomes a thing.”

The Oklahoma City Thunder are waiving big man Aleksej Pokusevski. The Thunder will eat Pokusevski’s $5 million salary for this season. He was set to be a free agent following the end of the season.

Despite flashing promise at various points during his first four NBA seasons, Pokusevski was unable to grab hold of a regular role with Oklahoma City. Each time he seemed to have some positive momentum, Pokusevski would pick up and injury. That seemingly set him back to starting over after each period of missed time.
