Landry Shamet, Knicks Agree To One-Year Contract

The New York Knicks have agreed to a one-year contract with guard Landry Shamet. New York had one open standard roster spot heading into training camp.

Shamet spent last season with the Washington Wizards. The veteran guard played in 46 games for Washington. Shamet averaged 7.1 points in 15.8 minutes per game for the Wizards.

The 6-foot-4 shooting guard has played for the Philadelphia 76ers, LA Clippers, Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns, in addition to the Wizards.

Paul Millsap and Dwight Howard each added 17 points. The Hawks led by 13 entering the fourth quarter and increased the edge to 24 despite playing the final 16 minutes without Howard, who was ejected in the third quarter after receiving his second technical foul.
