The NBA upgraded Golden State Warriors big man Draymond Green’s third quarter foul against Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey on Friday to a Flagrant 1 foul. Green was initially assessed a transition take foul for the play.

After a scramble for a loose ball, Edey threw an outlet pass. As the rookie center went to run up the court, Green grabbed his leg and pulled him down. Postgame, Memphis head coach took issue with the play, after praising Edey’s play.

“So I know there’s a code in this league, and I don’t understand how that wasn’t reviewed. Very disappointing.”

For his part, Edey said “It definitely wasn’t a basketball play.”
