Kobe: Lakers fans will ‘fall in line’ with LeBron

The New York Knicks have interest in signing Matt Ryan in free agency. The Knicks have to sign two players within the first two weeks of the season.

The Knicks had planned on keeping Landry Shamet heading into the season, but he suffered a shoulder injury toward the end of preseason.

Ryan appeared in 28 games with the New Orleans Pelicans last season, averaging 5.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in 13.9 minutes. Ryan is a career 41.1 percent three-point shooter.

The Pelicans waived Ryan in early October.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Austin Reaves have agreed to a four-year, $56 million deal.

The deal is the maximum allowed under the Early Bird.

Reaves emerged this past season for the Lakers as a key guard.
