Memphis guard Dillon Brooks said he hopes the Grizzlies’ front office deals Andre Iguodala before Thursday’s trade deadline so the team can “play him and show what really Memphis is about.”
Trae Young was asked how he feels about trade rumors and potentially leaving the Atlanta Hawks. Young made it clear he wants to win, but that he wants to do it in Atlanta.
“For me, my whole vision was to always be here – like my whole goal is to win here,” Young said. “Win championships, bring people here with me and build this, this championship here and dynasty here. But who knows? Like it’s year six now and who knows? Like, for me, I want that.”
Young was asked to clarify that he wants to stay with the Hawks, and he confirmed that desire.
“Yeah, I mean, yeah, you’ve heard it from the source, like I wanna win but that’s what you’ve heard too. Like I just wanna win,” Young answered. “So that’s, that’s in Atlanta. That’s, that’s where I wanna be, that’s where I envision myself being. But that’s, that’s it. That’s it.”
Phil Jackson had a dinner meeting with Arizona draft prospect Lauri Markkanen on Monday and considers him a replacement for Porzingis.
