Joel Embiid Ruled Out For First Week Of Season

Joel Embiid has been ruled out of this week’s games by the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers open their season against the Milwaukee Bucks and will also be without Paul George.

Embiid is beginning to ramp up and will begin scrimmaging this week.

Embiid suffered a displaced flap in his left meniscus last January and underwent surgery to repair it. Embiid went on to return for the playoffs and in the Olympics.

Embiid and the Sixers have stated that their goal is for Embiid to make it through the season to be as healthy as possible for the playoffs.
