Jay Wright Informed Knicks He Intends To Stay Retired From Coaching

Former Villanova head coach Jay Wright has been mentioned as a potential candidate for the open head coach job with the New York Knicks. No better a source than Wright himself has put that speculation to rest.

Wright informed New York that he intends to stay retired from coaching. Wright confirmed that he did discuss the position briefly with Knicks president Leon Rose. However, Wright said the job was not offered, nor was he asked to interview. The former Villanova coach informed Rose of his intention to stay retired from coaching.
