James Harden Says He ‘Hasn’t Thought About’ Offseason Plans

James Harden said he has yet to consider his offseason moves following the Philadelphia 76ers’ Game 7 loss to the Boston Celtics.

“I haven’t even thought about it,” said Harden following the loss.

Harden, who currently has a $35.6 million player option for next season, could decline it and become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

“I just want to have a chance to compete,” said Harden, when asked what he would look for in his next opportunity.

Harden also added that his relationship with Doc Rivers was “OK.”

If the Portland Trail Blazers trade the No. 3 pick to the New Orleans Pelicans, sources tell Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer that the belief is they would prefer Zion Williamson over Brandon Ingram.

Williamson would give the Blazers a pick-and-roll option with Damian Lillard. While Williamson has health and conditioning issues, he represents more upside for the Blazers than Ingram.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reported last week that the Charlotte Hornets, who own the No. 2 pick, would prefer Ingram over Williamson.

The Hornets are deciding between Brandon Miller and Scoot Henderson with the player who is passed upon setup to go No. 3, regardless of who is selecting.

LeBron James Upgraded To Doubtful For Sunday’s GameLeBron James Upgraded To Doubtful For Sunday’s Game

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has been upgraded to doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bulls. This is the first time James has been listed as anything but “out” since February 26.

In that game on February 26, James reported that he felt a pop in his right foot. James has been out since then, with what’s been listed as right foot soreness.

The 20-year veteran has missed the Lakers last 13 games. During that time, Los Angeles has gone 8-5. That solid play has seen the Lakers push up to eighth place in the Western Conference. As of the start of play on Saturday, the Lakers are only two games out of fifth place in the conference.
