The Westchester Knicks selected forward Matt Ryan and guard Landry Shamet with the first two picks in the 2024 G League Draft. Already holding the first overall pick, Westchester had traded up to acquire the second pick in the draft to select Ryan and Shamet back-to-back.

The New York Knicks had Shamet in training camp. The veteran shooting guard looked likely to make the regular season before a dislocated shoulder late the preseason. Now that is officially part of the organization through the G League Knicks, the team can supervise Shamet rehab from the injury.
