Grizzlies, Nets Haven’t Moved Forward In Cam Johnson Trade Talks

The Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets got close on a deal for Dorian Finney-Smith. After the Nets moved Finney-Smith to the Los Angeles Lakers, news broke that Memphis was not happy with Brooklyn moving away from their deal. Despite that, both sides have moved on and have talked deals involving Cam Johnson heading to the Grizzlies.

However, at this point, nothing substantive has taken place between Memphis and Brooklyn in Johnson trade talks. The Nets are expected to continue shopping the veteran wing up until the February 6 trade deadline.

Johnson, who is currently out with a sprained ankle, has put together a career-year for Brooklyn this season. The 6-foot-8 wing is averaging a career-best 19.5 points on 50/44/90 shooting splits. Johnson is also grabbing 4.3 rebounds and handing out a career-high 3.0 assists per game.
