Jerami Grant acknowledged that the Portland Trail Blazers have offered him a contract extension. Grant also said he’s in no rush to ink that deal, but said it has nothing to do with his happiness level in Portland.

“I’m kind of focused on the season at hand right now. Probably will wait until after the season and talk to (GM) Joe (Cronin),” Grant said. “Everything is good. I like it here. Really enjoying it. So, yeah…we will discuss it when it’s time.”

Reports came out that the Blazers offered Grant a four-year, $112.6 million extension. That’s the max Portland can offer Grant as a veteran extension. If Grant doesn’t extend by the June 30 deadline, he’ll be an unrestricted free agent on July 1. At that point, Grant will be eligible to sign up to a five-year, $233.2 million deal with the Trail Blazers, or a four-year, $172.9 million deal with another team.
