DeMarcus Cousins To Continue Career In Puerto Rico

Veteran center DeMarcus Cousins is signing a contract with the Guaynabo Mets of the Puerto Rico BSN. Cousins has not played in the NBA this season. He split last season between the Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets.

The Mets roster features former NBAers Mitchell Creek, Ed Davis and Jaysean Paige. Former 2006 first-round pick Renaldo Balkman also played for Guaynabo this season.

Cousins will turn 33 years old before next season. He reportedly hopes a successful stint with Guaynabo will lead to NBA offers for a training camp spot next season. The Puerto Rican BSN regular season runs until mid-June, with the postseason running into the summertime.
