The Phoenix Suns have been expected to explore the trade market for Deandre Ayton this offseason, but they have reportedly struggled to find any deals to their liking.

“I think the hard part for Phoenix right now is DeAndre Ayton’s market is lean,” said Adrian Wojnarowski on the Ryen Russillo Podcast. “They have to be prepared that they’re going to have Deandre Ayton back.”

The Suns are also at a crossroads with Chris Paul as they look to put more depth around Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. Their inability to trade Ayton in a way that is going to upgrade their roster limits what they might be able to do with Paul.

“They’ve gone through the marketplace and I don’t think there is an obvious deal for Deandre Ayton out there,” added Wojnarowski.
