The Sacramento Kings offered De’Aaron Fox a two-year, $105 million extension before the start of the 23-24 season, sources tell Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report. The two-year offer is the maximum the Kings are currently allowed to offer.
Fox decided to turn down the extension in hopes of making an All-NBA team again this season, which would make him eligible to sign a four-year supermax worth approximately $245 million. Both sides are interested in a long-term deal.
Fox is represented by Rich Paul.
The Kings signed Domantas Sabonis to a renegotiation and extension worth $217 million last offseason.
