Cavaliers May Not Change Position On Donovan Mitchell Trade Unless He Asks Out

The Cleveland Cavaliers have expressed no inclination to discuss Donovan Mitchell trades at this point, sources tell Zach Lowe of ESPN. Lowe adds that position may not change “unless Mitchell expresses some imminent unhappiness in Cleveland.”

There is a common perception in league circles that Mitchell will eventually leave the Cavaliers either via trade or free agency in 2025.

Mitchell is most commonly linked with the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat should he leave the Cavaliers.

The Indiana Pacers aren’t worried about looking for help. The Pacers (41-40) would have wrapped up a spot Monday if Chicago or Miami lost, but both won to improve to 40-41.
