Buddy Hield Agrees To Join Warriors On Sign-And-Trade With $21M Guaranteed In First Two Years

Buddy Hield has agreed to join the Golden State Warriors on a sign-and-trade with $21 million guaranteed over the first two seasons. Hield will have a $3 million partial guarantee for 26-27 and a player option for a non-guaranteed fourth season. The Warriors are sending the Philadelphia 76ers a 2031 second round pick it received as part of their sign-and-trade with the Dallas Mavericks involving Klay Thompson.

Hield, one of the NBA’s best three-point shooters, will help the Warriors replace Klay Thompson. The Warriors also have acquired De’Anthony Melton and Klay Thompson during this transaction cycle.

Hield finished the 23-24 season with the Sixers following his trade from the Indiana Pacers. Hield is represented by Diana Day.
