The Sacramento Kings exercised their 2025-26 rookie scale team option for Keegan Murray. This will be Murray’s fourth, and final, season on his rookie scale deal and he’ll make $11.1 million next season.
In his first three years with the Kings, Murray has become a key rotation player. The 6-foot-8 combo forward averaged 15.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in his second season. Murray has started 155 of the 157 games he’s played in over his first two NBA seasons.
Next summer, Murray will be eligible to sign a rookie scale extension. If no agreement is reached, he’ll become a restricted free agent in the summer of 2026.
The Chicago Bulls, who haven’t played since last Saturday after a COVID-19 outbreak put 10 players in the league’s health and safety protocols, have been cleared to return to practice Saturday.
