Brandon Ingram has suffered a “significant” low ankle sprain, sources told Shams Charania of ESPN.
Ingram, who was injured on Saturday night against the Thunder, will be out indefinitely.
It was reported earlier this week that the Pelicans are looking to extend Ingram at $40 million per season, with Ingram looking for a max deal.
Ingram recently signed with Klutch Sports Group.
