Yasmani Grandal stole the show as his second home run of the night was a two-run walk-off blast in the 10th inning, powering the Dodgers to a 6-4 win over the Brewers on Wednesday. In his Los Angeles debut, Brian Dozier went 3-for-4 with a home run, which followed Grandal’s first homer in the fifth, and was a triple shy of the cycle. Dodgers starter Rich Hill and Brewers starter Chase Anderson each tossed six innings of two-run ball. Lorenzo Cain led Milwaukee’s offense, going 3-for-4 and finishing a homer shy of the cycle.

A billboard on Sheffield Avenue outside of Wrigley Field reads 'So close you can taste it' as fans watch a baseball game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Chicago Cubs on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, in Chicago. The Cubs won 13-8, increasing their lead over the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Central division to two games.

The wind whipping out on a warm afternoon, the Chicago Cubs found the perfect conditions to pad their home run total and maintain their lead in the NL Central. “It was a good day to hit. But you can’t blame the wind. You still got to hit the ball,” said Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez, who connected on a pair of three-run homers to lead a wild 13-8 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday.
