Nelson Cruz’s two-run double sparked a three-run eighth inning on Friday, as the Mariners’ new-look lineup won a second straight game against the Astros. Mike Leake tossed a quality start over six innings for Seattle, while Gerrit Cole allowed two runs in his first seven innings and two in the eighth. Houston reliever Ryan Pressly gave up Cruz’s double, which helps the Mariners keep pace in the American League Wild Card race.
