Joe Girardi is back in pinstripes, taking over as New York Yankees manager from his mentor. Girardi was hired Tuesday, agreeing to a three-year contract to replace Joe Torre in New York’s dugout. The deal is worth an average salary of at least $2 million annually, a baseball official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because the team had not yet announced the details.
